Sharon's Success in Nashville

Sharon's presently managing
Sound Kitchen Studios near Nashville

Sharon will likely want to kill me for this blog post but I am so proud of her that I wanted to share all this with all of you! If you don't know: Sharon & I were best friends in the 80's (another Aries) and she was my maid of honor when Gib & I got married. Scott & Charles just loved her to death and Paige, my niece, loved to hear her sing :) Sharon used to live in Helena, AR and we used to spend soooo much time together having so much fun....didn't we, kids??

This is Sharon's hubby's music page. His name is James House. He has 2 albums coming out; one is a Christmas album. http://www.myspace.com/jameshousemusic
Sharon is his manager too. James has written & co-written a LOT of songs I know you'd recognize....even some for Tina Turner! I really enjoy listening to James' voice.

Sharon's been super busy- I am SO SO SO happy she's doing well in Nashville! Like me, she let the singer/songwriter dream go...but she is so involved in the music industry it'd make your head spin! I am SO PROUD that Sharon's doing so well!

Thought you'd get a kick outa this article where Sharon's quoted. Her comments are near the bottom and the whole article is interesting. http://mixonline.com/studios/business/audio_nashville_skyline_103/

"Be careful Dad...this is where I got the Cushman stuck
and then Papa got the forklift stuck.
And then a wrecker came & it got stuck too.
And then another wrecker came to pull out the
other wrecker & the forklift & the cushman."
Did Scott get stuck? Of course not!

Hard Rock Park @ Myrtle Beach

OUR FIRST (& 2nd) VISIT TO HARD ROCK PARK,
MYRTLE BEACH

We decided to spend 4th of July at Myrtle Beach with our friends, the Brigmans. Bobby had been dying to go to Hard Rock Park so he was one happy camper. He invited his pal from school, Cross, and they had a great time at the beach & at the park. We arrived at Hard Rock at 10 am and didn't leave until around 2pm. Then we went back that same night for several hours. In case you don't know, Hard Rock Park is designed in sections according to decades or types of rock music. There's a lot of interesting sights and lots & lots of great music. Believe it or not, the 4 of us actually got "trapped" on a ride...everyone else got off except us...the bars wouldn't raise up!! They had to call a mechanic & a supervisor. It took about 5-10 minutes to free us and then we got a certificate for free drinks.

Of course, the BEST ride of all was "Led Zeppelin: the Ride" a huge, scary, fun, fun, fun roller coaster! Gib rode it once, I rode it twice; Bobby & Cross rode it 6 times and would've ridden all day & night if we had let them! We really had a good time!!

Some sort of sun goddess...I guess :)

SURFING SAFARI
