Lake Norman Day Trip

Today Bobby & his pal, Will, and I went with
the church group where I work on a
day trip to Lake Norman. We went to
"Queen's Landing" and went on a really
nice, relaxing lunch cruise. We boarded the
bus & pulled out at 8:30 am and got back to the
church at around 5:30.

Silly Bobby & sleepy Will on the bus

This is the "Catawba Queen" which we were
supposed to go on originally but it was
having engine problems, so....

We went out on "Lady of the Lake" instead.
Will said excitedly, "WHOA! It's half the size
of a cruise ship!!"

Before we boarded the boat we all walked out
onto a dock and fed these gigantic gold fish!
There must've been 50 of them in a bunch!

Bobby and Will enjoyed the view from the stern.

The Skipper with Bobby & Will The Skipper let the boys steer the boat and
they didn't even run us aground!

We got see a LOT of huge, beautiful lake homes.
Many were owned by retired airline pilots,
NASCAR & NEXTEL drivers, and many
retired corporate executives. Will got
VERY excited every time a race car driver's
name was mentioned...it was so cute :)
This house used to be owned by Burt Reynolds
This house is called the "Castle House"

Will's waving to every boat that goes by!
